Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the radalt.io website and the Radalt Toolkit desktop application (together, the "Service"), provided by Radalt ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing the website or installing the application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Radalt Toolkit is a desktop application for Windows that provides IFC file processing tools for professionals in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. The application is currently provided free of charge, subject to a trial and licensing system described in Section 4.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Licence to Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Radalt Toolkit on a single computer for your personal or professional purposes.
You may use the application to process your own IFC files for any lawful purpose, including commercial work.
4. Trial Period and Licence Renewal
On first launch, Radalt Toolkit gives you 30 days of full access to all features at no charge. No account or credit card is required to start the trial.
Five days before your trial expires, a notification will appear inside the application. You can use it to request a 30-day renewal — renewals are also provided free of charge at our discretion. We reserve the right to adjust trial and renewal terms in future.
Trial and licence periods are machine-bound: each trial or licence is tied to one PC and one email address. Using the application on a different computer requires a separate trial or licence.
5. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, redistribute, sell, resell, sublicense, or transfer the application to any third party
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application, except to the limited extent permitted by applicable law or by the licences of open-source components included in the software (see Section 9)
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices in the software
- Use the application in any way that violates applicable law
- Attempt to circumvent, tamper with, or disable the trial or licensing system
- Use automated tools to manipulate the authentication or trial infrastructure
6. Your Content
Radalt Toolkit processes IFC, IDS, and BCF files that you provide. All processing occurs locally on your machine. We do not access, store, or transmit your files or project data. You retain full ownership of and responsibility for your content.
7. Account and Access Revocation
We reserve the right to revoke access to the application at any time, with or without notice, if we believe a user is abusing the trial or licensing system, violating these Terms, or acting in a manner harmful to other users or to Radalt.
8. Intellectual Property
Radalt Toolkit, the radalt.io website, and all associated materials (including source code, design, trademarks, and documentation) are owned by Radalt and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
9. Open-Source Components
Radalt Toolkit includes open-source software components. In particular:
- IfcOpenShell is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 (LGPL-3.0). Your rights regarding this component are governed by that licence.
- Other included components (Electron, React, Three.js, and others) are licensed under permissive open-source licences (primarily MIT). Their respective licences are available in the application's installation directory.
Nothing in these Terms restricts your rights under the applicable open-source licences.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
11. Updates and Changes to the Software
We may release updates to Radalt Toolkit from time to time. The application checks for updates automatically once per day. Updates may include bug fixes, new features, or security patches. We are not obligated to provide updates or to maintain any particular feature.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will produce accurate results for any specific IFC file or use case. Use of output from the application for structural, safety, or compliance decisions is at your own risk.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RADALT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR, IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US ANYTHING, USD 10).
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
